WICEN NSW has provided two members as part of the Volunteer Rescue Association's contribution to a search for a missing person along the rugged coast around Scarborough and the Sea Cliff Bridge, north of Wollongong.
WICEN NSW's AGM was held here at ARNSW yesterday afternoon. Lindsay VK2FLEA was elected President, with John VK2JV becoming a committee member.
The Hounslow Classic is a running event in the upper Blue Mountains, around Blackheath and Grose Valley, on September 28th and 29th.
The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic, including the new Classic Relay, runs overnight from Saturday October 26th to Sunday 27th.
The next training session will be here at ARNSW in Dural on Sunday, October 6th. Members are also encouraged to take advantage of the free courses offered by the Office of Emergency Management, at: https://www.emtraining.nsw.gov.au/
Sunday, October 13th is Volunteers Memorial Day.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region runs an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.
WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the "Capital Country" region, and on the South Coast. On October 4th and 5th WICEN is providing admin support for ANU's Inward Bound. The Light Car Club of Canberra's Monaro Stages is Saturday October 19th. WICEN Victoria will be supporting the Stockman's Rally on October 27th in Big River State Forest. The Alpine Rally is November 29th to December 1st, around Lakes Entrance.
