The Annual General Meeting will be on Saturday, 22nd August at 2:00 pm here at Amateur Radio NSW in Quarry Road, Dural. Official notification has been mailed to financial members.

The Barrington Tops SAREX, built around the search for the missing light aircraft, VH-MDX will be over the weekend of October 17 and 18.

The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic, one of the largest events on WICEN's calendar will be overnight, on October 24th and 25th. This can be a good event for newer members, as they will be placed with an experienced member.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding region. The club's website at www.crarc.ampr.org includes details of both WICEN and general events. The group is supporting the ACTERA Brookvale Horse Enduro on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of September. Brookvale is a property which straddles the north western border of the ACT and NSW. BMSC - Tumut Valley Rally is on Saturday the 17th of October. Fitz's Challenge is a long distance cycling event in the western areas of the ACT, held on Sunday 25th of October

WICEN Victoria's website lists the Mini Marathon at Moama on the Murry River on Saturday, 17th October. The Stockmans Rally is on Sunday the 25th of October in the Big River State Forest. This is a little south of the serenity of Bonnie Doon.
