WICEN is running an activity day and lunch for members and families here at Dural, today.

WICEN will hold a practice net starting at 1930 tomorrow evening, Monday, 5 December, trying several different systems:
At 1930 on the following linked repeaters: Chatswood 2 m, Kurrajong 70 cm, and Berowra 70 cm.
At 1945 a simplex net on 147.500 MHz, with net control at La Perouse in Sydney.
At 2000 on HF, on 3610 kHz +/- QRM, hopefully allowing both local and rural stations to join.

Those interested in receiving training to work in Rural Fire Service call centres are asked to respond promptly to Operations via email or the website with their details.

Northern Rivers region is holding their final meeting next Sunday, 11 December at 10:00 am, with planning for 2017. They have a weekly net on Tuesdays at 8:00pm summer time, on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Listen for VK2WIR. The associated Summerland ARC is having a Christmas lunch at the Spotted Pig in Alphadale at 11:30 on the 10th. SARC will also be supporting the Great Eastern Fly-In, from January 6th to 8th, 2017 at Evans Head. http://www.greateasternflyin.com/

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". The club's website is at: http://www.crarc.ampr.org

The club holds Foundation courses, and exams for all levels, are provided by the Club bi-monthly, on odd-numbered months.

WICEN Victoria's Annual General Meeting is today at 2:00pm in Box Hill. Their website is: http://vic.wicen.org.au They hold a net every Tuesday at 2030 on or near 3.6 MHz.
