The BWRS Navshield is planned for next weekend, 2nd and 3rd July, with set-up on Friday. The location is Wombyan Caves, and checkpoints and radio sites can be reached by most two wheel drive vehicles. Should weather, such as snow, prevent the event going ahead, the alternative date is the 23rd and 24th. Pre-polling has opened, and locations can be found by entering your home or work postcode at http://www.aec.gov.au/.
A WICEN Training Day is is Sunday, August 7, once again here at ARNSW in Dural. If you intend attending, please contact WICEN, as some of the options require pre-reading material. Other options include learning how to use the new Digital Mobile Radio hand-helds.
SAREX, the search and rescue exercise built around the search for VH-MDX is September 16 to 18 in the Barrington Tops.
WICEN Northern Rivers holds a weekly net is Tuesdays at 2000 Kilo on the 146.8 MHz Lismore repeater, which requires a 123 Hz tone for access. The associated Summerland club will hold a Hamfest on Sunday, 28 August at the Roy Waddell Community Centre, in the former Richmond Hill Public School, just north of Lismore.

Their coming events include the BMSC Narooma Rally on July 23. The ACTERA Brookvale Horse Endurance Ride in on September 3 and 4. Foundation courses are provided bi-monthly, with exams for all levels on the Sunday. The next one is one the 23rd and 24th of July.
