WICEN NSW, is a support squad of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association. Recent rains mean fires across the state have been brought under control, and WICEN's support has concluded.

For members who have registered, "Drive vehicles under operational conditions" is being held next weekend. Members are also encouraged to take advantage of the free courses offered by the Office of Emergency Management, at: https://www.emtraining.nsw.gov.au/

WICEN groups across Australia will be supporting Dementia Australia Memory Walk and Jog events. These short Sunday morning events run for several months from February. NSW's first event at Tench Reserve on the Nepean River at Penrith, is April 5th. Inner-Western Sydney is May 24th; and the Hunter, the 31st. See: https://memorywalk.com.au

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the "Capital Country" region, and on the South Coast. The BMSC "NatCap" Rally is March 21st and 22nd. WICEN Victoria will support Duncan's Run 100 at Turra Bulga in south Gippsland on March 21st. Memory Walk and Jog events include Ornamental Lakes Park in Mildura on March 1st; and Ballarat at Lake Wendouree on March 15th (support TBC); Melbourne and Geelong are May 3rd and 17th respectively.
