The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic, including the Wiseman's Dash, and new Classic Relay, run overnight next weekend, from Saturday October 26th to Sunday 27th. This event has one of the largest staffing requirements of all events which WICEN supports. These raise significant funds for Arrow, The Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region runs an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the "Capital Country" region, and on the South Coast. The LCCC's Monaro Stages was yesterday, while the 25th Anniversary Carriage Driving Event at Wittwood, NSW concludes today. Fitz's Challenge is a road cycling event next Sunday, the 27th. WICEN Victoria will be supporting the Stockman's Rally next Sunday, October 27th in Big River State Forest. The Alpine Rally is November 29th to December 1st, around Lakes Entrance.
