The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic, including the new Classic Relay, runs overnight from Saturday October 26th to Sunday 27th. This event has one of the largest staffing requirements of all events which WICEN supports.

Today, October 13th is Volunteers Memorial Day. This includes a ceremony at 11:00 am at Mrs Macquarie's Chair, in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. This will be streamed on the RFS facebook page.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region runs an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the "Capital Country" region, and on the South Coast. The Brookvale Horse Enduro, in the north-west border of the Territory, is this weekend. The Light Car Club of Canberra's Monaro Stages is next Saturday 19th. Next Weekend is also the 25th Anniversary Carriage Driving Event at Wittwood, NSW. Fitz's Challenge is a road cycling event on Sunday 27th. The BMSC Rallye de Femmes is December 7th. WICEN Victoria will be supporting the Stockman's Rally on October 27th in Big River State Forest. The Alpine Rally is November 29th to December 1st, around Lakes Entrance.
